Lou Gramm
In 1985, with nearly 15 years of
vocalist and songwriting
experience with both Foreigner
and his original band, Black
Sheep, Gramm felt it was time to
pursue a solo career. His dream
became a reality when he
released his first solo album
"Ready or Not" in early 1987. It
hit the Top Twenty and went gold
in several countries with the
hits "Midnight Blue," "Ready or
Not" and "Heartache."
Gramm received a great deal of
exposure on MTV and was soon
approached to contribute a song
to the soundtrack of the teen
vampire film "The Lost Boys."
"Lost in the Shadows," a song
that had been cut from his debut
album, was slightly adjusted and
fit the film perfectly.
Gramm reunited with Foreigner in
1994. In early 1997, he was
diagnosed with a benign brain
tumor. After surgery and a year
of rehabilitation and radiation
treatment, the singer made a
full recovery. He left Foreigner
for good three years ago.
His next project with the Lou
Gramm Band will be a Christian
album in the fall.

television. He has also hosted his own syndicated talk show, The
Howie Mandel Show,” and continues to be a mainstay on the talk-show circuit. He frequently appears on
“The Tonight Show” with Jay Leno performing his signature hidden camera
bits. He also is one of the first people that Regis calls to fill
